Cowboys’ running back DeMarco Murray is off to quite the start this season. Actually, he’s been off to a historic start, as he has started the season with 7 straight 100-yard games, more than anyone else in NFL history. As impressive as Murray’s start has been, he’s not gaining all these yards by himself.

The Cowboys offensive line has been dominant, clearing the way for this historic start by Murray, and he showed them a little appreciation. Starting linemen Tyron Smith, Doug Free, Travis Fredrick, Zach Martin and Ronald Leary returned to their lockers after practice yesterday to find a gift from their star running back; a $1,300 iMac computer for each of them.

“That just shows how much respect he has for us, how much he appreciates us, so it’s a great gift”, Leary told the Fort Worth Star Telegram. Usually running back thank their offensive linemen with gifts after the end of a big season, like when Curtis Martin of the Jets bought his linemen Rolex watches after he lead the league in rushing yards. Or when Adrian Peterson thanked his o-line for clearing the way for his 2,000-yard season in 2012 with snowmobiles. With a gift like this so early in the season, Murray has set the bar pretty high for himself in getting gifts for his linemen, who knows what they’ll get if they block him all the way to a 2,000-yard season.
