Alexander Wang X H&M : Here’s Everything You Need to Know

On October 16, the Alexander Wang x H&M collection debuted in New York City’s Armory in Washington Heights. The celebrity embossed event exhibited a racetrack inspired runway to show off active wear inspired pieces, a trend forecasted to continue growing in the coming seasons. Described as “full-on energy from the beginning,” the show was intended to provided an immersive experience for the international H&M customer through live streaming through both H&M and Alexander Wang’s websites.

A dance party followed the runway show, opened by DJ Jesse Marco, before live performances by Sharaya J and Missy Elliot. Diplo continued the party, which was studded by fashion fans in addition to the A-List crowd, who had scored invitations to the launch by winning “golden tickets” in various vending machines placed in H&M stores throughout New York. The event remained thematically true to the collection, active and edgy. The “WANG” logo adorns leggings, windbreakers, sports bras and dry-fit knitwear that look both gym and street ready. Foam boxing gloves were handed out amongst the crowd.

The eagerly anticipated collection will be available online and in 250 H&M stores worldwide onNovember 6, 2014.
