Sarah Jessica Parker Did a Photo Shoot Outside of Carrie Bradshaw’s Apartment and the Owners Were Pissed!
Sarah Jessica Parker apparently pissed someone off for the first time in her life. She has infuriated the owners and neighbors of the West Village townhouse that was Carrie Bradshaw’s home in “Sex and the City” by staging an unauthorized photo shoot on Carrie Bradshaw’s famous stoop for her new shoe collection.
The owners of 66 Perry St., the townhouse SJP made famous, installed a metal chain across the steps that reads, “Do NOT go on staircase please.” Apparently because they were sick and tired of tourists and Sex and the City fanatics taking pictures there constantly. (I’ll admit, I’ve broken the don’t go on a stairs rule once or twice).
On Oct. 7, SJP posted Instagram pictures of herself leaning over the chain and sign to place items from her SJP Collection for Nordstrom on the steps, then posing on the stoop alongside her shoes, underneath a black hat. She wrote with the post, “It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie #whewwwwthosesteps #runninginheels #taxi!”
A source tells Page Six, “The owners are up in arms as they deal with relentless tourists, and SJP has ignored their requests for an explanation on how she could endorse the shoot, even though ‘no trespassing’ signs are posted. SJP used their house during the years of filming, and now won’t acknowledge that she and her company used the steps and facade, this time without permission, to promote her shoe line.”
Let’s get real, that house is nothing without Bradshaw.
