Marvel and Netflix Pair Up to Create 4 New TV Shows

That’s right. For all you comic book fans out there, you’ll be happy to know that Marvel and Netflix have agreed to produce four new series, which will combine to form another miniseries called “The Defenders.”  The first of the TV shows will be Daredevil, and if your first thought is of the 2003 Daredevil movie with Ben Affleck (let’s hope he redeems himself as Batman), who could blame you for being skeptical. This Daredevil has a darker, ninja-like look, however, and is played by Boardwalk Empire’s Charlie Cox. It will run as a 13-episode series starting next year, followed by three other series starring Marvel’s Jessica Jones, who was initially talked about as an ABC series, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.
