Goodbye Childhood: ‘7th Heaven’ star Stephen Collins Admits to Child Molestation
Disclaimer: The article you are about to read will likely ruin your entire childhood. Do you all remember that incredibly nice minister from the show 7th Heaven? Well, it turns out that the sweet man was involved in several incidents of child molestation. TMZ has acquired an audio tape of Stephen Collins recounting three acts of child molestation.
The sad and shocking audio left fans, and people everywhere speechless. The recording was a conversation Collins was having with his wife Faye Grant, who are both undergoing a nasty divorce right now. When he filed papers in 2012 after 27 years of marriage, she said she was “devastated.”
On the tape, Collins is heard talking to Grant and to a therapist about exposing himself to underage girls. One was 11 when he started, and Collins says it continued when she was “12 and 13.” That particular girl is thought to be a relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman.
TMZ says Collins never knew he was being taped. Grant did it to gather evidence for a possible felony, and molesting a child under the age of 14 qualifies.
The Daily News confirms that New York police are now conducting a criminal investigation.
