Leonardo DiCaprio Turns Down Role in Steve Jobs Biopic
Because what’s the actual point if you never win an Oscar anyway? Leonardo DiCaprio is no longer in talks to play Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic written by Aaron Sorkin, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie has been pending for quite some time now and they still can’t seem to find a leading man.
Originally, David Fincher was in talks to direct it with Christian Bale as the star. However, in April the studio gave the movie to Danny Boyle, who directed Slumdog Millionaire with DiCaprio as lead. Now, with DiCaprio out of the running, there are numerous actors rumored to be taking over the slot.
Apparently, Christian Bale is back on the list with Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Bradley Cooper. We know what you’re thinking, yes there was already a Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher. However, this is the movie that everyone has actually been waiting for.
Unfortunately we have to wait for a long, long time as there is no hint as to when the movie will actually be released.
