Autistic Activist Exposes Major Autism Organization

Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) is one of the largest autism organizations in the United States. They say on their website that they, “strengthen the autism community by connecting families and the professionals who can help them, allowing them to share stories and information to help improve the quality of life for people with autism.”

Despite their claims to do so, do TACA’s endeavors actually achieve their goal of strengthening the autism community as they claim? Responding to a post on their Facebook page, an autistic activist pointed out TACA’s failures to adequately address the needs of much of the autistic community, only to have TACA respond to her comments with logical fallacies and misinformation. They subsequently deleted her comments, but not before screenshots of them could be taken. The exchange can be seen in the images below.
