The worst Ebola outbreak in history continues to make its way across boarders and spread rapidly. According to the Washington Post, Senegal has confirmed on Friday that the outbreak has reached the West African Country. The virus is mutating and the death toll according to the World Health Organization could infect up to 20,000 people.

The first infected was a Guinean national who traveled to Senegal, and is now in quarantine according to the Health Minister Awa Marie Coll Seck. Senegal marks the fifth country that is plagued with the outbreak including Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, and Nigeria.

The most frightening part of the outbreak is that the World Health Organization claims that the virus has not even peaked yet. Meaning, by the end of it, thousands of people may be infected and eventually die. Moreover, the outbreak in Nigeria is a completely separate outbreak than that out West Africa, essentially confirming that there are multiple outbreak sources.

The death toll at this point is at 1,552 deaths making in the most deadly Ebola virus ever recorded.
