One of your favorite Game of Thrones characters may be getting killed of the show very soon.

During an event at the Freemason’s Hall in London, George R.R. Martin, the author of the Game of Throne series was asked if there were any characters he couldn’t kill, because they are needed for the plot.

His response may surprise and sadden you.

Martin said: “I have a large number of important characters who I switch between to tell the entirety of the story, and that limits who I can kill….and now it’s getting to the point where the story is beginning to delta back in.”

So what does this mean for Game of Thrones fans?

Well Martin also added: “The viewpoint characters are meeting up with each other and being in the same point at the same time…which gives me a lot more flexibility for killing people.”

Martin’s final two books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring have yet to be completed so there still may be hope for your favorite character.

Who do you want Martin to kill off? Or who can he absolutely not let go of?
