Of course traveling overseas is on everyone’s agenda. Whether or not you often get the opportunity to do so is a different story. When you do get the chance, you can officially stop worrying about language barriers thanks to Yelp. Loyal Yelp users who are experiencing a bit of wanderlust can now enjoy the app even more thanks to its new automatic translator powered by Bing.

Bing is providing the app with 15 languages including Spanish, French, Italian, English, Swedish and Japanese. What does this mean for you? Well, you’ll have the ability to read Yelp reviews that were initially in foreign languages in your own language. When a user clicks on a review written in a different language, there will be an option of translating the page.

Essentially, Yelp has just taken all of the guesswork out of traveling aboard. Android users may have to wait a little while longer to experience the same update as the new feature is only available on iOS as of now.

According to Mashable, a Yelp spokesperson says, “The feature is most useful and relevant for travelers on the go. We hope to add support for machine translation on desktop at some point, but don’t have a specific timeline.”

Using apps on the go seems to be the norm these days, so we’re sure Yelp users will make do. Happy travels!
